Now Hiring a Nursery Associate!
Big Oak Nursery has a Nursery Associate position to fill in the retail segment of a small retail/wholesale nursery in Elk Grove. We strive to offer a large variety of high quality bedding plants, perennials, trees, shrubs, vegetables and fruit trees. Big Oak Nursery caters to landscapers; however we also feature a sales area open to the public. The retail area is open year-round and seven days a week, excluding major holidays
Our ideal candidate has extensive plant knowledge and a fundamental understanding of horticultural principles. However, those with a passion for horticulture and a little experience are encouraged to apply, as we are open to training the right person. Day-to-day job responsibilities include pruning, watering, plant selection, labeling/plant ID, and helping customers as needed. This job is in an outdoor environment and you must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Big Oak Nursery strives to honor a flexible work schedule. Please be punctual and available on the days scheduled. Salary and benefits are negotiable and will depend on experience.
