SPRING & SUMMER VEGETABLES

Planting a Spring and Summer Vegetable Garden is one of the most gratifying ways to use your yard or garden!  Big Oak Nursery begins carrying a wide variety of Spring & Summer Vegetable starter plants on the First Day Of Spring in late March. However, these plants prefer to be put in the ground closer to Tax Day, April 15th, when the soil is warmer. From the time of planting through September, fruits and vegetables like Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Honeydew, Tomatoes, Peppers, Corn, Beans, Herbs and Tomatillos thrive in the scorching, dry heat. We look forward to helping both novice and experienced gardeners cultivate their Spring and Summer Vegetable Gardens in Elk Grove, California!
